With the first ascent of a summit, a mountain has by no means lost its appeal. For alpinists, there are always further opportunities to look for challenges in new routes. These challenges have always been the driving force for Mammut to develop products that must withstand the toughest conditions. The new Trion Light backpacks or the Magic Guide High GTX® mountain boot are the result of intensive cooperation and tests with Mammut top athletes.

Backpack Mammut Trion Light 28+ / 38+

The new backpacks in the Trion Light family were developed as versatile and yet surprisingly lightweight all-year backpacks. The 28+ version with the roll-top closure is the climbing specialist, while its big brother with 38+ l featuring a removable, height-adjustable flap is particularly flexible to use. A short back length of between 48 cm and 55 cm allows generous head clearance when climbing. The T-frame “Remove & Climb” frame strut is lightweight and quick to remove from the outside, thereby further increasing freedom of movement and flexibility. Together with the detachable hip belt padding, the weight of both models drops to 590 g and 630 g (without flap).

Both versions offer well-ventilated and breathable backs and shoulder straps for strenuous tours, a reinforced side ski attachment, two solid ice ax attachments and a trekking pole attachment, and are hydration system-compatible. A climbing rope can be attached to the face fabric or under the flap and, in the larger model, ski touring safety equipment fits into the front compartment and remains accessible at all times. In both models, the compression straps can be tensioned at the front or side. – Check out the Mammut Trio Light rucksack

Mountaineering boot Mammut Magic Guide High GTX® Men

As a high, supportive and fully crampon-compatible mountaineering boot, the new Mammut Magic Guide High GTX® Men feels just as comfortable on ice or mixed climbs as on mountain and multi-pitch tours. Featuring board lasting made from high-quality Idro-Perwanger full-grain leather and an elastic fabric, its lining and cushioning systems care for the different areas of the foot. Sweating and feeling cold are thereby reduced and pressure points avoided.

Its patented, double-insulated carbon insole allows a significant weight reduction while providing rigidity and excellent insulation. It features an all-round protective rubber rand, 3-zone lacing with efficient D-ring locking and the patented Base Fit® 2.1, which noticeably improves the heel support and reduces blistering. Support is further enhanced by the 3D-shaped memo foam cushioning. The GORE-TEX® Insulated Comfort Footwear membrane with elastic GORE-TEX® tongue construction and the securely closing integrated neoprene gaiter ensure the inside is dry and warm.
